We hope to feature a combination of illustrations, comics, and written works. We are seeking approximately 25 contributors. Our current plans include a digital bundle, a physical A5 book, and merchandise. All contributors are guaranteed a free digital bundle. If funds allow, they will also receive a free full bundle (shipping included). Our charity of choice is Médecins Sans Frontières, who provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. This is a living document and will be updated as project details are finalized.

PROJECT INFO

SCOPE
- The zine will allow content from all three movies (Re-Animator, Bride of Re-Animator, and Beyond Re-Animator), but encourages pitches/pieces from the first movie specifically.
- Our zine is rated M for Mature: we allow artistic nudity, violence, gore, and horror themes that fall within the constraints of the movie (ex. blood and guts). However, we do not allow NSFW or depictions of sexual assault.
- Crossovers/AU’s within the same media universe (ex. Re-Animator x Army of Darkness) are accepted, but we will be prioritizing pitches/pieces from the main movies.
- Shipping content is allowed.
ACCEPTED WORKS
- We accept illustrations (single or spread), comics, and written works.
- Traditional illustrations are allowed but must be scanned in at a high resolution.
- Any work MUST be an original piece, specifically made for this zine. Any previously made or posted pieces will not be accepted. Stolen, traced, and/or AI-generated work will not be allowed.

FINANCE

COMPENSATION
- Proceeds will go to production and manufacturing first. If we break even, contributors will automatically receive a complimentary copy of anything produced. Shipping will be covered if funds allow.
- All contributors are guaranteed a digital copy of the book and any digital merchandise free of charge.
- Any remaining profit will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières.
USAGE RIGHTS
- Contributors retain all rights to their own work. We only ask that you not post full final pieces before all project fulfilments have been completed and explicit permission from mods is granted. Posting final work, check-ins, and any other unpublished content from the project (either your own or another person’s) will result in your removal from the project.
- Upon project completion, you are free to sell and distribute your work in any way you see fit. Additional books may be purchased at-cost and sold by contributors in limited quantities after project completion.
- By joining this project, you grant moderators permission to use and modify your piece within the scope of the project, as outlined in this information document (i.e. printing, selling, editing for graphic design and advertisement of the project).
- We do not own and will not use your piece outside the scope of this project.

Q&A

Q: What do you mean by zine/anthology/artbook?
A: For this project, the term artbook, anthology, and zine (short for ‘magazine’) are used interchangeably. We are an independently run one-off publication centred on a specific theme. Submissions will be compiled into either a PDF and/or a physical book.
Q: Where will you ship from?
A: We ship from the United States.
Q: Will international shipping be available?
A: Yes, international orders will be accepted through our online store. We’re unable to circumvent the laws surrounding imports. We are not liable for any custom fees. Contributors will be reimbursed for any taxes upon arrival if we are able to afford to send physical bundles.
Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for contributors?
A: All contributors must be 18 or older. This is non-negotiable. We will also be asking for a shipping address for physical copies and merchandise.
Q: How are contributors chosen?
A: Contributors are chosen based on their pitch and portfolio. The reason for this is that we’d like to have a variety of ideas to avoid overlapping content. We aim to judge all applicants equally.
Q: Will you be sending rejection emails as well as acceptance emails? Will I be able to get feedback?
A: All applicants will receive their emails on the same date. We will not provide individual feedback.
Q: What if I drop out of the project for personal reasons?
A: We understand that life happens! If you cannot meet the deadlines for whatever reason, please let the moderators know, and we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability or find a pinch-hitter. Communication and professional courtesy are key! It’s better to let us know as early as you can so we can offer you an extension or find a pinch-hitter to take your place in time. There will be absolutely no hard feelings.
Q: This project is not run the way I would run it. How can I express my concerns and dissatisfaction?
A: We are happy to listen to any concerns you may have! However please understand that this is a passion project run by fans. If you do not agree with the way we run things, we encourage you to create your own project!
